Mactaggart & Mickel’s homes are built using the latest techniques and sustainable materials following the strategic acquisition of a timber frame manufacturer in 2007. Using the innovative ‘closed-panel’ system, homes can be weather proof within 24 hours, meaning a faster turnaround for customers and less disruption for neighbours.

We currently have fifteen developments underway across central Scotland, from Ayrshire to Edinburgh.

At our two timber frame manufacturing facilities based in Coatbridge, we manufacture both “open” and “closed” panel timber frame which we can supply only or erect on site. In addition we manufacture floor cassettes, staircases and bathroom pods. Our market sectors include private developments, affordable housing, commercial and bespoke one offs, and we can provide you with a quality product and service.

We can now offer our award winning building skills to external organisations. This construction activity ranges from entire projects to completing an unfinished development. We have worked with registered social landlords and others to create new affordable housing communities.
